Ooooo …. pretty.

Wow, another post related to my life as a road warrior.

Laptops take a huge beating on the road. From the house, into the trunk, from the trunk onto the sidewalk, onto the shuttle bus, to the ticket counter, through security, on to the airplane, off the airplane, to the luggage carousel, onto another shuttle bus, into the trunk of the rental car, into the hotel and onto the desk in the room. Pretty tiring to think about isn’t it? Do that a few times a week and you can understand how much abuse your laptop takes.

Now this laptop that takes so much abuse is also the place that probably houses all of your data. All of your countless hours of hard work sitting as 1’s and 0’s on the hard drive. What would happen if your laptop crashed? Was stolen? Lost? You’d be ok, you have a back up! Of course you do …

Performing a back up is a pain in the rear-end. I’m a geek, a tech-guy, an IT worker and I don’t nearly as often as I should. Thankfully many companies are coming up with solutions for this problem and Pexagon has created a Portable Drive that really strikes a cord with me.

  • It’s small. (1.3cm thick, see the photo below)
  • It’s HUGE!! (up to 120GB)
  • PC and Mac compatible. (How cool is that? I know someone in my who likes the Mac option)
  • Connects via USB.
  • Did I mention it’s small and it’s huge?

(See I told you it was small!)

In case you missed it, here’s a link to Pexagon’s Portable Drive.
